Syllabus of Principles of Accounting I.COM
Syllabus of Principles of Accounting I.COM (Part - I)

All chapters are included in the syllabus of Principles of Accounting - Part I paper (I.COM). However, the chapter 12 (Work Sheet) is less important but important only for objective type or short questions.

Do you know?

"Accounting Meaning has great importance for understanding the subject of Accounting."

Paper Pattern of Accounting I.COM (Part - I)

First Part - Objective Type

In this part, 20 marks MCQs are given to students to complete it in 30 minutes time period.

Second Part - Subjective Type

This part of paper of “Principles of Accounting” starts after 30 minutes of time period. This subjective type part has two further parts:

Shot Questions

37 Short questions are given and the students do only 25 questions out of 37 questions. Students can do 25 questions from any parts of short questions.

Long Questions

5 long questions are in there and students have to do 3 questions out of 5 questions. I advised Students that they should do these long questions at the last after doing shot questions.

Long Questions come from following below Chapters:

Chapter 6 (Accounting for Bills of Exchange)

Chapter 8 (Cash Book and Bank Reconciliation Statement)

Final Accounts chapters that include Chapter 10 (Final Accounts) and Chapter 11
(Adjustments and their effect on Final Accounts)

Chapter 14 (Capital And Revenue)

Chapter 15 (Rectification of Errors)

Syllabus of Principles of Accounting I.COM (Part - II)

All chapters are included in the syllabus of Accounting Part 1 paper. However, Partnership Chapters that include Chapter 6 (Partnership Accounts - Profit Distribution), Chapters 7 (Admission of a Partner), Chapter 8 (Retirement and Death) and Chapter 9 (Dissolution of the Firm) are mostly important for Objective type or short questions. But long Questions may come from these chapters. But, mostly times, Students can do 3 questions from given below these 4 Chapters easily.

Chapter 1 (Accounts from Incomplete Records)

Chapter 2 (The Accounts of Non-Profit Making Organizations)

Chapter 3 (Consignment Accounts)

Chapter 4 (Accounts of Joint Stock Company)

Also, it is very difficult to judge from which chapters of Partnership, the long question will come, so it is better to cover partnership chapter only for MCQs or Short Questions.
