Purchases Journal VS Purchases Ledger In AccountingPurchase Journal records the credit purchases journal entries chronologically while purchase ledger is used to record all the Credit Purchases posted to it in order to find total credit purchases for the accounting period.





Purchase Journal shows customers’s accounts lists to whom the company sold goods on credit or account while purchase ledger show the accounts payable’s name lists and give us the closing balance of all the credit purchases made by the company from all the suppliers of the company during the accounting period.
