Accuracy VS Precision

Image
Firstly we define Precise and then we define Accuracy. 1. Precision shows the magnitude of error in a measurement while accuracy shows the relativity of Error among different measurements. In other words, accuracy shows how much a measurement is accurate as compared to other measurement. 2. There is inverse relationship between precision and accuracy. The more precision in a measurement, the lesser accuracy it has and vice versa. 3. Example of Precision is that , suppose a measurement of 21.2 cm. has more precision as it has less magnitude of error i.e., it has 0.05 error in magnitude while 3938 km. has less precision as it has more magnitude in error i.e., 0.5. Example of Accuracy can be given as: We know that accuracy is the relativity of error among different measurements, so let us calculate relative error for both of the above measurements, 21.2 and 3938: For 1 st Measurement   Error / Quantity Measured = 0.05 / 21.2 ...

Newton's First Law

Image
Here we discuss about Newton’s first law of motion. You may also be interested in Newton's Second Law of Motion The Newton’s First Law of Motion states that: “A body will continue to move or remain in a straight line unless an opposite force acts on it and change its position either moving or state of rest”. During the change of motion position or state of rest position, a body opposes to change called its Inertia and it depends upon the mass of the body. The higher the mass of a body, the move inertia it has and vice versa. For Example, when a car standing on the road, then the car in the rest position. To move the car we need to push the car or start the car with petrol. But, if we don’t have petrol, then huge force is required to change the position of the car to move it. So in this case, the car has more inertia. But when the car is moving, it is very easy to push on in the straight line, but now it is very difficult to stop the car a...

Newton's Second Law of Motion

Image
Here we discuss about Newton’s 2nd Law of Motion. Newton’s 2nd Law tells us that how a body behaves when there is not net force acting on it. The Newton’s 2nd Law states that: “The effect of an applied force on a body is to cause it to accelerate in the direction of Force. This Acceleration is directly or positively related to applied force and negatively or inversely related to mass of the body”. So, we can say that, New Second Law of Motion tells us that when we apply force to a body at its rest position, it will start to move in the direction of applied force till the end of applied force. Assumptions of the Law: 1. Suppose we apply force on a body that is moving in a straight line, then it will accelerate it velocity and the body will move as long as the force in in action. 2. If we apply the force on a body in the direction opposite to its motion, then the body will accelerate at low speed. If the applied force still continues in act...
