Image
I n a simple petty cash book, small expenses paid and revenues are recorded while in an analytical petty cash book, more columns are added for further analyzation of these small expenses and revenues. For Example, in simple petty cash book postage, telephone expenses, rent received are recorded but in analytical cash book, separate columns are added (such as total payments column, Postage Expense Column, etc.) in the book to provide more details about these small expenses and revenues received by the cashier on daily basis. As more information is obtained from analytical petty cash book than a simple petty cash book, so it saves time as it avoids difficulty in getting the detailed information about small expenses and revenues.
