Management consists of five functions:
2. Organizing
3. Staffing
4. Leading
5. Controlling
Staffing is the function that is actually called Human Resource Management.
It
is the process of recruiting, selecting, training, developing, compensating and
rewarding employees and ensuring fairness in the organization. All these
process must be implemented to ensure the efficient use of human capital
effectively.
An
HR Manager should check that the right person is selected for the right person.
He / She should ensure fairness while recruiting and selecting the employees.
HRM policies should be implemented for encouraging and retaining the potential
employees.
In recruiting
employees, job analysis is issued to select the right talent for the
organization. Merit should be followed during this process. A right person for
the right place can change the business position of the organization. After
selection, the new comers employees need training to meet the professional
environment. If employees are performing well then they should be promoted to good
position. The salary and other incentives are helpful for improving and
encouraging the performance of the employees. Appropriate actions should be
taken if there are weakness and mistakes in achieving the goals.
By
comparing actual performance with the set estimated targets, the correct
measures can be taken. Measuring performance should be made for achieving the
goals of the organization.
Now
a day, all the big companies exploit the candidates. They pay them lower
salaries and demand more work from them. This is totally unfair and against the
labour laws. So, it should be controlled. Also, discrimination between genders
should be eliminated. There should be an equal employment opportunities for
both genders.
So,
above was the brief Introduction to Human Resource Management Gary Dessler.
Hopefully, now you will understand the concept of this subject.
