Paid Salary To Manager Journal Entry


Manager Journal Entry In AccountingA manager is a person who manages, directs, works under the guidance of top level management i.e., directors. A manager is also an employee in a company just like other employees but he has greater responsibilities than any other employee. When the company paid the salary to a manager whether he is a sales manager, purchase manager, marketing manager, human resource manager or manager of any department of the business to which he belonged, then the following Entry is recorded as shown below:

When the salary is not paid by company to a manager for the services he delivered to company during the month, then it is the responsibility of the company to pay to manager for the month. As the salary is accrued, outstanding or payable for the month, so following Adjusting Entry is recorded as shown below:

                                                                            Manager Salary Payable a/c  XXX

At the end of the month, when the company paid salary to manager for cash or bank, then the above adjusting entry is reversed and following entry is recorded as shown below:
