Is Drawings Account A Nominal Account Real Account Or A Personal Account
Drawings Account or withdrawals account is also not a real account which is related with assets and liabilities accounts.
Yes, drawings account is a representative personal account which is a type of personal accounts as it is related with the owners of the business who are the natural persons.
For Example, Mr. A, Mr. B, Mr. C, etc., are the partners of the business or in case of sole proprietorship, Mr. X is only the owner of the business who withdraws cash or goods from business for his own personal use. So, a drawing account (Mr. X’s Drawing Account) is created with the name of Mr. X. Similarly, for a partnership, separate drawings accounts are created which represents each of partners’s drawings accounts e.g., Mr. A’s Withdrawals Account, Mr. B’s Withdrawals Account, Mr. C’s Withdrawals Account.
So, we can say that drawings account is neither a nominal account nor a real account but it is a representative personal account.
