Difference Between Cash Book And Cash Account
1. A Cash Book is both a Journal and a Ledger while cash account is a summarized record of Cash Transactions in a ledger account, so it is only a ledger account.
2. Cash Book has both Journal Folio and Ledger Folio while cash account has only journal folio.
3. Cash Book shows cash transactions date-wise alongwith final closing balance of cash account. It also gives us an explanation of the
Transaction (narration) while a cash account shows only closing balance of cash account without any explanation of transactions.
