Can A Business Be Successful Without Planning?

As Management is concerned with planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling activities, so if a management plan is not prepared or not prepared well i.e., it is incomplete, then it lacks the main basic function of management i.e., Planning. So, without proper planning, no business will be run successfully or it will be surely no grow and eventually may fail or shutdown / closedown. Poor management and lack of planning are important causes of failures of any organization.

The manager of an organization must set objectives, goals, targets, strategies and develop plans to complete the project successfully or to achieve success ultimate goals set initially, otherwise, the business can not be successful at the end.

A management plan may fail either due to poor management or the main plan is not set objectively, realistic or according to market demands and needs that require innovative, updated, useful and valuable change. In this situation, the business will also can not grow successfully and even may closed down at the end.

For example, the manager’s goal is to increase sales of the business for five years. He can set short-term and long-term goals to achieve this ultimate goal. Then he should adopt right and effective strategy i.e., i.e., increase sales manager’s salary, hiring skillful and talented sales staff, etc., to achieve this particular goal. For this, he develops proper plan to achieve the ultimate goal i.e., defining procedures, rules, defining roles of sales manager, etc.

So, if a manager adopts proper planning, then at the end, the business will be successful with the help of Allah.
